Veneers - Garden Ridge Center For Dentistry

Veneers

Have you always dreamed of having a beautiful smile, but aren’t sure where to start? Porcelain veneers may be an option for you! Veneers involve a cosmetic dentist covering healthy teeth with a thin porcelain material to enhance the color, shape, and size of your natural teeth. Sometimes this is done in coordination with orthodontics and whitening procedures, so you can have a confident, long lasting, and functional smile. Veneers can be a great option for patients that have healthy teeth, but aren’t happy with the shape, size, or color. Veneers can transform a patient, so they can smile with confidence.

How are they made? - Garden Ridge Center For Dentistry

How are they made?

At Garden Ridge Center for Dentistry our cosmetic dentist aims to have predictable, long lasting results. We use digital dentistry and a specialized cosmetic laboratory to create a “wax up” or ideal smile design. Our cosmetic dentist can then place this “mock up” in the patient’s mouth temporarily to visualize what can be accomplished with veneers. We customize each veneer case to fit the personality and smile goals of the individual patient- no two smiles are alike!
Once the smile is planned and designed, the teeth are prepared. To create space for the porcelain veneer material, a small amount of the natural tooth is typically removed. With modern cosmetic techniques and materials, the tooth can be reduced minimally, so your natural tooth stays strong underneath the final veneer. We work with a cosmetic lab in Texas to finalize your custom veneers. When they are ready, the veneers are bonded into place permanently.

How is a veneer different from a crown? - Garden Ridge Center For Dentistry

How is a veneer different from a crown?

Veneers are primarily cosmetic in nature, and a minimal amount of tooth structure is removed only from the front surface of the tooth by a cosmetic dentist. Full coverage crowns are more protective in nature, and cover the entire tooth. Sometimes a combination of crowns and veneers are necessary to accomplish the patient’s smile goals.
We love hearing from our patients that have transformed their smiles with cosmetic dentistry. Your smile is unique to you, and can empower you to have the confidence necessary to accomplish your goals. Porcelain veneers are one way to accomplish this smile transformation. Ask your dentist at Garden Ridge Center for Dentistry if you are a candidate for this procedure!
