The BOOST® in-office whitening procedure may be the right choice for you if time is a factor. We often recommend this for patients that may have a big event coming up, and want to whiten quickly and safely. This includes a 2 hour in-office session, and results start that very first day. A proprietary whitening gel is applied by our cosmetic dentist team after taking measures to protect the lips and gums. Customized whitening trays are also included in this session, so you can continue teeth whitening at home until you are satisfied with your new shade!

The AT-HOME tray method involves making customized soft whitening trays to hold a whitening gel against the surfaces of the teeth. These trays with gel are worn anywhere from 2 hours per day to overnight (8-10 hours) depending on your teeth whitening needs. This technique usually takes 3-4 weeks of daily use or longer for badly stained teeth. The trays may be used once a year for a few days to a week to maintain your bright smile.
The professional strength whitening strips are 4x stronger than those found over the counter. This option is great for patients of all ages that want a solution “on the go”!

Professional Internal Bleaching

Internal bleaching is another option for those teeth that are root canal treated, and have become grey or darkened over the years compared to surrounding teeth. Sometimes this darkness is even visible through a crown. This technique involves placing a specialized bleach formula within the tooth to brighten from the inside out! We use a “Walking Bleach” technique, so this bleach stays within the tooth for several days at a time. The bleach is replaced by your cosmetic dentist until the goal shade is achieved.

Whether you and your cosmetic dentist choose at-home trays or BOOST® in the office, the final results are the same. The cost of the AT-HOME tray method is lower than the in-office BOOST® session, it just takes more time.
